Seitan Limania

Seitan Limania – 'the three devil bays' in Cretan – is a cult spot for lovers of dramatic nature. A narrow, steep bay with vivid turquoise water framed by grey cliffs. Everyone who follows Crete on social media knows this view.

The winding road across the Akrotiri peninsula is an adventure in itself. From the car park a steep path leads down – sturdy shoes are essential. Below, swim in cool clear water, jump from rocks (experienced swimmers only) or simply soak in the scenery.

The cove is small and fills quickly on hot summer days. Come early or off-season for peace. Nearby: Agia Triada monastery; proximity to the airport makes it ideal as a first or last beach stop.

Tip: No facilities – bring water, snacks and sun protection. Slippery descent, no flip-flops. Do not swim in strong wind or high surf.
